Faculties of the Department have dedicated themselves to research on relevant subjects and applied funds from National Science Council, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Justice etc. Several research projects have been completed few years ago, including Patterns of Sexual Crime, Patterns of Rapists, the Law of Marital Violence and Policy Responses, Research on Predicting Delinquency in Early Adolescence, and Research on Relevant Factors and Prevention Policy of Female Juvenile Delinquency etc. The research results have been very fruitful and well received by the sponsors and the academic community.
In addition, the Department has also been working closely with international academic institutions. Various conferences in criminal justice have been held by the Department every year. It makes a systematic approach to study the theories and practices related to crime prevention and corrections. The Department will continue the international academic cooperation and strengthen the academic research in the future.
